I suggest setting up some simple tasks for each one and try it out for yourself. To work around that, I just made a matching characteristic for each skill (i.e., Discipline - > Discipline). Do It Now RPG may be the most complicated simply due to the fact that you have to bind a characteristic for each skill that you create. It offers a multiplayer mode (never tried it out) and web support so that you can work with it outside of your phone/tablet, but I'm not a fan of the theme (it's like an actual RPG game) and I don't think the rewards are customizable (I prefer setting up real life rewards, whether something you can spend money on or something intangible, like reward yourself by watching a show on Netflix).Īs for a beginner, I think they all are not easy, or at least, they're about the same. I should note that they're both for Android only. The Do It Now RPG dev is much more active, updates frequently, and takes suggestions / responds to people when you leave a review. I would prefer LifeRPG, but the dev abandoned it and there's still a few bugs that I experience, like duplicating missions. It's the spiritual successor to LifeRPG in the sense that it's very similar in function and setting it up. Since it's a link, I don't want to disrespect or break any rules. I wouldn't mind doing it here, but it involves a link to a guide that helps you define the individual task settings instead if just moving the sliders to what you think sounds right. Hit me up with a PM if you want more info. Once you're satisfied, begin adding them into the app. My advice is to open up a spreadsheet, input the settings as your row header (Task, Difficulty, Urgency, Fear, Skills, etc) and define your tasks. You'll then get that itching feeling to start adding more tasks into it because it's kind of addictive and rewarding to complete tasks. Especially if you try to use Do It Now RPG's characteristics (I just set the characteristics to be the same as the Skills and linked each accordingly ).Īt first, you can start with something simple, like "Morning Routine" group / parent task and then add tasks to it, like shower, brush teeth, mindset exercises, stretch exercises, etc. If that's something you're interested in, I believe Habitica offers that feature.Īnd yeah, it can be a bit time consuming when you're first setting it up. The Do It Now RPG dev has talked about adding web support, but that's far away from happening at the moment. The good thing is that they both have a back up feature, so once you set it up, the hard work is done. I don't think it's as streamlined, but just about equal to LifeRPG. r/personalgrowthchannel (personal and professional growth) r/KaizenBrotherhood (self improvement, being your best self) r/GoodbyeDepression (overcome depression) r/DecidingToBeBetter (self motivation/self improvement) Have some feedback for us?
